Colleen is best known for her multi-season arc as Inara on the ABC/Shondaland series STATION 19. Her performance as a survivor of domestic violence, a fiery protector of her Deaf son, and her heartwarming romance with firefighter Jack Gibson made her a fan favorite. Her body of work includes dozens of prime time guest starring performances, most recently on CHICAGO MED, THE ROOKIE, and a recurring role on QUANTUM LEAP.
In 2007, she made her feature film debut in the Academy Award winning film THERE WILL BE BLOOD, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and starring Daniel Day-Lewis.
Colleen originated the role of Lindsay in QUID PRO QUO at the Kennedy Center and understudied the role of Laura in THE GLASS MENAGERIE at the Mark Taper Forum. She spent a year touring the country as Alice in ALICE IN WONDERLAND with the National Theatre of the Deaf, as the only hearing member of the Company. Colleen has been fluent in American Sign Language for 25 years and is a strong ally to the Deaf community.
Colleen pulls from her direct experience of auditioning, booking, and being written for, and passes that knowledge along to her students. She began serving as a coach and teacher at SKS in 2010 and is proud to be Studio Director. In 2022 Colleen currently serves as the on set acting coach for the Netflix hit series XO, KITTY.
